The NCUA Board is scheduled to unveil a proposed rule that would deal with regulating retirement packages of credit union executives at its meeting next Thursday.

The agency hasn't released details of the proposal but the agenda said the rule will deal with "Golden Parachute and Indemnification Payments. "
In addition, the board is scheduled to discuss mid-year changes to its budget.

The board is also slated to release interim final rules on changes to the definition of "low income," and on compliance with the Truth in Savings Act. That law, passed by Congress in 1991, was designed to provide uniformity in disclosures on savings account interest and fees.

The NCUA Board is also scheduled to hear a report on the health of the NCUSIF.
Next Thursday's meeting is scheduled to be held at 10:00 a.m. at the agency's headquarters in Alexandria, Va. There is a closed meeting following the public session, at which the board is scheduled to consider a creditor's appeal and discuss supervisory activities.
