WESTMINSTER, Calif. – Kinecta Federal Credit Union's Westminster branch grand opening festivities helped make Karen Colangelo a winner.
The 23-year old has been named the lucky winner of the credit union's sweepstakes grand prize of a 42-inch plasma television.
"Kinecta was looking to create fun for the entire Westminster community during our Grand Opening week. We had a great event that was fun for all the kids. We hoped a chance to win a 42″ plasma TV would be fun and create awareness about Kinecta for all the adults," said Nicole Valentin-Smith, vice president of business and community development, Kinecta FCU.
In addition to the sweepstakes drawing, the weeklong grand opening celebration included a donation by Kinecta to two Westminster elementary schools, a piggy bank decorating contest, and a ribbon-cutting reception that was attended by city officials and other local businesses.
"I was happy to learn that Kinecta was putting a member service center in Westminster, but this is great. The television looks great in my living room. The picture is really good," said Colangelo. "Everyone at Kinecta has been great."
