VERNON, Conn. – American Eagle Federal Credit Union has broken ground on its new 3,000 square-foot retail Vernon branch.

The opening is expected by November 2006. The new facility will replace the credit union's existing office here.

"The relocation and expansion of the Vernon office will improve service to existing members in the area and provide room for new member growth," said American Eagle FCU President/CEO William J. Dokas.

The facility will feature full deposit, loan, and electronic services including areas for new accounts, tellers, investments, financial education, Internet workstation, coin counter, drive-thru service, and 24-hour ATM.

This is the first of three new offices American Eagle FCU is working on and construction of new offices in Enfield and Cromwell will be underway this summer with openings planned for early 2007.

"Member service is the cornerstone of our success," said Dokas. "These offices are part of our expansion plans to make the Credit Union more convenient and accessible to our members throughout the Greater Hartford area," he added.
