SAN DIEGO – Sharp Credit Union CEO Joann Gibson has been singled out by the San Diego/Imperial Valley Chapter of the California/Nevada Credit Union League to receive the 2005 Chapter Award of Excellence. Gibson was honored for her services in many roles including chapter president, vice president, program chairperson, legislative advocate, Shapiro representative, Regional Learning Center chairperson, and Richard Myles Johnson Foundation representative. Gibson has also been very active in the Credit Union Chief Executives Association and the Political Action Committee for San Diego Credit Unions. During a luncheon reception Gibson received a lapel pin, a certificate, and a letter from California Credit Union League President/CEO David L. Chatfield. Sharp Credit Union is a division of Cabrillo Credit Union.
