ST. PAUL, Minn. - There's nothing like a good Monday night football game to bring people together, especially when it's the home team playing. Monday night, Nov. 21 was no different when the Minnesota Vikings took on the Green Bay Packers. In fact, said the Minnesota CU Network, "it was a classic border battle." And the clear winner was CUNA's Credit Union Legislative Action Committee. The MnCUN's Political Involvement Committee took advantage of the Midwestern rivalry to host a Monday Night Football fundraiser that evening. Nearly 40 people came together to watch the game on the board room television. PIC members and their credit unions sponsored the stadium fare - bratwurst, nachos, pretzels and Cracker Jacks - and cold beer for attendees. The final score was Vikings 20, Packers 17. "The most important thing is that we raised money for CULAC," said MnCUN President/CEO Kevin Chandler. "The second most important is that the Vikings won."
