Unlike many industries, credit unions have been particularly friendly to the female of the species. According to CUNA, 57% of credit union CEOs overall are women. However, as you climb the asset ladder, the share becomes less than equal: 74% male to 26% female. A variety of historical factors contribute to these proportions but the question is now, what are we going to do about it?

More than half of bachelor's degrees in the U.S., 57%, are earned by women along with 58% of all graduate degrees, according to Womenomics. That means women will make up a greater part of the workforce as boomers retire.

Across all departments, ages and experience we want to recognize those women who are challenging the status quo and pushing creative solutions to address what ails their credit union or the industry as a whole.
