Whatley spearheaded the drive and it was more successful than anticipated, with 782 rolls of toilet paper being collected. The credit union first supported the Cherokee County Volunteer Aging Council this fall by sponsoring the nonprofit's inaugural golf tournament that helped raise more than $21,000.
