Across the country this past week, credit union professionalsmoved into new positions while others received awards for theircontributions to the credit union movement. Outside the walls ofcredit unions, TMG Financial Services and CUES announced a numberof promotions.

WEST

|

The $6.3 billion Alaska USA Federal CreditUnion inAnchorage, Alaska appointed six people toexecutive positions. BrianWolf (pictured) was promoted to COO. Wolf has morethan 18 years of financial institution experience, with the lastthree years at Alaska USA. He most recently held the position ofexecutive director, retail financial services. ChadMeadows was promoted to executive director, retailfinancial services. Meadows has more than 12 years of financialinstitution experience, most recently as vice president, retaildelivery and sales for the $675 million Seattle Metropolitan CreditUnion. Tod Miller was promoted to the newposition of SVP, indirect lending. Miller has been with Alaska USAfor 26 years, most recently as vice president, indirectlending. Phenie Miller was promoted to SVP,branch administration. Miller has been with Alaska USA for 30years, and was most recently area vice president, Mat-Su Valleyarea. Bob Thompson was promoted to SVP,corporate properties and supply. Thompson has 26 years offacilities management experience, with the last eight at AlaskaUSA. He was previously vice president, corporate properties andsupply. Chris Wilder was selected for theposition of vice president, operations. Wilder has been with AlaskaUSA for 13 years, most recently as vice president, branchadministration, Alaska Region.

SOUTH

|

The $226 million New Horizons CreditUnion in Mobile, Ala., hired JearilCrawford (pictured) as COO. Crawford was mostrecently employed with Callahan and Associates as director ofaccount management. Prior to that, he worked in the creditunion industry for more than 17 years.

The $790 million Amplify Credit Union in Austin,Texas hired Michael Koch as SVP/chief lendingofficer. A seasoned banking executive, Koch brings 25 years offinancial services experience to the position. Throughout hiscareer, he has successfully built lending operations by focusing onthe credit, operations and production sides of the business.

Mary Ann Melchers (pictured), a longtimecredit union volunteer and current board member for the $516million ABNB Federal Credit Union in Chesapeake,Va., was honored with the Virginia credit union system’s highestindividual honor, the James P. Kirsch Lifetime Achievement Award.Melchers, 78, got her start as a credit union volunteer in1965.

Chris White, security/fraud officer at the $1.3billion Pen Air Federal Credit Union in Pensacola,Fla., received the Charles Bates Award for Outstanding CommunityPartner. The award was given in recognition of White’s outstandingcommitment to the protection of vulnerable adults (elderly anddisabled persons).

MIDWEST

|

The $1.4 billion Corporate Central Credit Unionin Muskego, Wis., selected Chris Felton aspresident/CEO. Felton became the fourth CEO in the corporate’s35-year history, succeeding Bob Fouch, who retiredat the end of 2015. Felton has been with Corporate Central for morethan 21 years, most recently serving as EVP until his appointmentas interim CEO while the search was conducted.

The $309 million INOVA Federal CreditUnion in Elkhart, Ind., promoted LeroyThompson (pictured) to vice president of memberexperience. In this new position, Thompson will be responsible forproviding the executive team with insight and recommendations onhow to best serve members from a delivery standpoint. He will alsobe in charge of enhancing employee morale and corporate culture.Thompson has served the members of INOVA for 30 years.

CUES promoted Leiha Fiddler tovice president/sales and member relations – Canada. Fiddler joinedCUES in 2014 as director of sales and member relations –Canada. Fiddler has an extensive background in the Canadiancredit union system. She was SVP at Stabilization Central CreditUnion in British Columbia.

VENDORS

|

TMG Financial Services promoted four financialservices experts. Corey Skadburg (pictured),formerly senior credit and risk manager for TMGFS, was promoted todirector of credit and risk. In this position, Skadburg willoversee the credit, regulatory compliance and operational risk onmore than 116,000 consumer and business credit cards. He joinedTMGFS in 2010. Angie Pedersen was promoted tooperations manager. Pedersen will lead the development andintegration of TMGFS’ new education and training team, which willservice both internal and partner staff. She joined TMGFS in 2011as manager of client services. Julie Wigg waspromoted to project services manager. Formerly project serviceslead, Wigg will manage the onboarding of new partners, includingthose with startup credit card programs and those moving existingcard programs to the TMGFS platform. She joined TMGFS in 2009.Robin Caddell was promoted to senior marketingmanager. Caddell will lead a team of marketers in strategy andexecution of direct to consumer credit card marketing campaigns.She joined TMGFS as a senior marketing specialist in 2013.
