This past week, credit unions across the country made a numberof hires, board members were appointed and a CEO was inducted intothe Credit Union House Hall of Leaders. Plus, a CEO in Redding,Calif. retired after 26 years of service.

|

The $181 million First Financial Federal CreditUnion based in Wall Township, N.J. promotedJessica Lombardi (pictured) to branchmanager. In her new role, Lombardi is responsible for managing theday to day activities at First Financial's Neptune branch, as wellas business development, attending community events, increasing theloan and deposit base, and the general overall success of thebranch.

WEST

|

The $580 million Clark County Credit Union inLas Vegaspromoted two managers to vice president roles.Shannon Dufore was promoted to vice president ofoperations and will oversee back office operations and facilities.She brings more than 20 years of credit union experience to herposition. Matt Becker was promoted to vicepresident of information systems. Becker will oversee informationand technology functions and supervise department staff. Beckerbrings more than a decade of IT and finance experience to theposition.

Mark Moore, the 26-year president/CEO for the$121 million Members 1st Credit Union inRedding, Calif., retired effective Jan. 31, 2016.When Moore tookover as CEO in 1992, the office was located in a warehouse, withsix employees and $12 million in assets.Today, Members 1st has fivelocations and 56 employees. He is succeeded by TeriVanderpol who previously served as CFO. Vanderpol beganher career with Members 1st in 1993 and has served in a number ofpositions throughout the credit union before becomingpresident/CEO. Also, Judi Bartholomew was promotedto executive vice president. Bartholomew began her career withMembers 1st in 2001, serving as branch manager.

MIDWEST

|

Brian Sherrick, president/CEO of the $617 millionIdeal Credit Union in Woodbury, Minn.was appointedto the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis' Community DepositoryInstitutions Advisory Council. Sherrick will serve a three-yearterm on the 13-member council, which acts in an advisory capacityto the Minneapolis Bank and the Board of Governors inWashington.

The $600 million LAFCU in Lansing, Mich.hiredRebekah Kilpatrick as a payroll and benefitsspecialist. In her new position, Kilpatrick is responsible forprocessing payroll, maintaining employee records and managingemployee benefits such as health care and retirement.Kilpatrick came to LAFCU from Partners Book Distributing Inc.,where she served as human resources/payroll manager since 1998.

|

The $4.9 billion Delta Community CreditUnion based in Atlanta, Ga. hired AishaKhawaja as vice president of card and payment services. Inthis newly-created position, Khawaja will have direct oversight ofcard services, payment services, and card and payment riskmanagement. In addition to card services and risk management,Khawaja's experience includes regulatory compliance and call centermanagement.

The $2.1 billion Chartway Federal Credit Unionin Virginia Beach, Va. elected three members to its board ofdirectors. Robert Holmes was elected for athree-year term. Holmes joined Chartway as a member in 1965. He'sbeen a volunteer since 1998 and a member of the board since2006. Melvin Mizelle was also elected for athree-year term. Mizelle has 33 years of volunteer service withChartway, including a term as chairman of the board from 1997 to2001. He's also served as treasurer of the board and served for orchaired a number of committees. Judy Sparrow waselected to a three-year term as well. Sparrow has held a variety ofvolunteer positions at the credit union over the past 20 years.She's been a member of the board since 2006 and has served in avariety of roles.

The $2.7 billon Texas Dow Employees CreditUnion in Lake Jackson, Texas appointed two members to itsboard of directors. Carrie Fisher was appointed asadvisory director. Fisher joined the board in 2015 and sits on boththe finance and the strategic initiatives committees for the creditunion. She holds the position of senior vice president, ecommerceand chief marketing officer for Fossil Group, Inc. AnitaSehgal (pictured) was also appointed as advisorydirector. Sehgal joined the TDECU organization as an advisory boardmember in 2015 and serves on both the TDECU holdings board and thestrategic initiatives committee. Sehgal is senior vice president ofmarketing and communications for the Houston Astros.

The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas,withoffices in Bismark and Sioux Falls, S.D., hired KatieDressler as vice president of communications andawareness. Dressler's responsibilities will include developing andgenerating positive credit union awareness, overseeing CUAD andMid-America Service Corporation, internal and external creativeservices, and assisting in developing and implementing strategicmarketing strategies.

The Cornerstone Credit Union League inductedTinker Federal Credit Union president/CEO and Cornerstone BoardVice Chairman Mike Kloiber to the Credit UnionHouse Hall of Leaders. Kloiber has 36 years of experience in thecredit union industry. He was the visionary, architect and leaderin the creation of the tri-state Cornerstone Credit Union League,which includes Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas.
