Daniel Young joined Credit Union Times asWashington reporter on Nov. 16.

Young will cover trade organizations, as well as credit unionlegislation and regulation. He previously worked for SNL Financialas a Washington-based reporter covering credit unions andbanks.

A native of Georgia, Young attended Valdosta State Universityand graduated with honors, earning an English degree with a focusin journalism. While at VSU, he served as photo editor and opinionseditor for the Spectator, the student-run newspaper. Hewas also editor-in-chief for On Tap, VSU's studentmagazine. Additionally, he worked as a producer, anchor and writerfor VSU's daily newscast.

Prior to embarking on his journalism career, he served as an ITproject manager for more than 15 years. When he's not chasingleads, he can be found writing short stories, blogging or creatinghis own line of greeting cards.
