Credit unions' collaborative ethos sometimes manifests in unusual ways, as it has recently for two central Wisconsin credit unions.

Prospera Credit Union, a $180 million community institution based in Appleton, on June 16 formerly entered into a 60-day agreement to provide management services to the $25 million UW Oshkosh Credit Union, which primarily serves faculty, students, staff and alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

A change in leadership and the sudden resignation of former UW Oshkosh CU President/CEO Scott Chicoine in mid-May created both a need and an opportunity for Prospera, according to credit union president/CEO Sheila Schinke.
