More than 90 kids participated in three racesby age group and then a winner was drawn from each group to receivea new bicycle from Capitol Cyclery. Mikenzee won in the 5 and undercategory. “This event is all about getting kids up and moving.Pelican believes that both financial and physical health areimportant and loves providing an outlet for the community to cometogether year after year before school starts,” said the BatonRouge credit union's CEO, Jeffrey Conrad. The event also includedT-shirts and goody bags for all race participants, healthyrefreshments, music, games, fire truck tours, a bounce house, photobooth, face painting and door prizes for parents.
