CU*Answers won one and lost one in the latest series ofconversion announcements from credit union core processors.

The $18 million Newark Firemen Federal Credit Union in Newark,N.J., has completed its conversion to the CU*BASE platform throughCU*SOUTH, an Alabama-based CUSO that is an affiliate of CU*Answers,the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based CU*Answers said.

Meanwhile, Computer Marketing Corp. in Sandy, Utah, said it converted the$30 million Blue Mountain Credit Union of Walla Walla, Wash., backto its FLEX system after it had converted away from FLEX six yearsago. Blue Mountain was most recently on the CU*BASE platformthrough CU*NorthWest, a Liberty Lake, Wash., affiliate ofCU*Answers.

The $65 million Scenic Falls Federal Credit Union of IdahoFalls, Idaho, also converted to the FLEX platform. The conversionstreamlined operations by eliminating a host of independentlydeveloped interfaced solutions supplied by the previous coreprocessor, CMC/FLEX said.

Scenic Falls had been on the CUnify platform from Fiserv,according to Callahan & Associatesdata.

According to the 2014 Credit Union Core Processors MarketShare Guide from Callahan, Fiserv now has more than 2,300 core processing customers on itsplatforms, including about 120 on the CUnify platform it acquiredwhen it bought Open Solutions last year. CMC/Flex has about 260.About 225 credit unions run on CU*BASE through CU*Answers and itsCUSO affiliates CU*NorthWest and CU*South.

CU*NorthWest, meanwhile, said it now has its 20thcredit union owner: The $14 million Family First Federal CreditUnion in Great Falls, Mont.
