The $414 million Educational Community Credit Union inKalamazoo, Mich., recently raised more than $1,100 for the GreatLakes Burn Camp on Pretty Lake near Mattawan, Mich. The staff atECCU raised the funds by paying for the right to wear jeans to workone recent week. “Our mission is to bring together children who'vesuffered similar injuries for friendship and fun,” said campdirector Mike Longenecker, a firefighter who co-founded the camp in1995. “Here, kids feel comfortable and realize they're not alonewith their scars.” Shown here are a group from the burn camp'ssession last winter.
