Longtime CUNA Mutual Group riskconsultant Ann Davidson is now vice president of risk consulting atAllied Solutions in St. Paul, Minn.

CUNA Mutual said Davidson retired on June 2 after 40 years withthe Madison, Wis., company.

|

Allied announced this week that Davidson was its new vicepresident of risk consulting in its bond division.

|

“Having Ann Davidson join the Allied family takes our CreditUnion Bond Risk Consulting Unit to a whole new level,” AlliedSolutions President Pete Hilger said in the announcement from the provider ofinsurance programs and other services to 4,000 financialinstitutions.

Her new employer said Davidson, a frequent speaker at creditunion conferences, will use her consulting expertise along witheducational presentations and seminars on fraud prevention andcompliance topics to help credit unions manage risk and ensuretheir financial soundness.

The $419 million GFA Federal Credit Union inGardner, Mass., said its board of directors has appointedJoanne Parks to its supervisory committee. Parksis operations manager at M.H. Parks Co. and joins committee membersJames O. Garrison (chair), Daniel M.Asquino, Elaine T. Fluet andWendy Wiiks.

The $195 million CorePlus Federal Credit Unionin Norwich, Conn., promoted Raymond J. Currier toEVP/COO. Currier joined CorePlus in 2005 as COO. He began hiscredit union career in 1992 and has been a teller, member servicesrepresentative and worked in marketing and business development andbranch and operations management.

The $2.3 billion Coastal Federal Credit Unionin Raleigh, N.C., hired Scott Stevens as its newvice president of information technology. He has more than 20 yearsof financial services and technology experience, most recently withOracle. Stevens' hire follows Coastal's recent conversion to theSymitar core processing system.

|

The $2.6 billion Michigan State University FederalCredit Union in East Lansing promoted BenjaminMaxim to e-commerce manager. He has been with MSUFCU sinceJuly 2007 and had been senior web developer. MSUFCU also promotedRob Johnson to internal audit manager. He joined MSUFCU in 2012 asa senior compliance auditor.

The $1.2 billion Centra Credit Union inColumbus, Ind., hired Paul East as a mortgage loanoriginator for Central and Northern Indiana. He has more than adecade of experience, most recently with BMO Harris and Chasebanks.

The $1.5 billion Indiana Members Credit Unionin Indianapolis promoted John Newett to SVP ofoperations. He has been with IMCU since 2011 and also is former CEOof Harvester Financial Credit Union and a principal examiner forthe NCUA. IMCU also promoted Mandy Emery to vicepresident of community involvement. She has been with IMCU for 32years, most recently as assistant vice president of communityrelations. She will continue as executive director of the IndianaMembers Foundation. Michael Murphy has beenpromoted to vice president of business services at IMCU. He hasbeen director of business lending at IMCU since 2006. ScottMann has been promoted to assistant vice president ofretail operations after 26 years with IMCU, most recently asmanager of member services. Chantelle Sparks hasbeen promoted to assistant vice president of human resources. Shehas been manager of human resources since 2011 and had joined thecredit union in 1993 as a seasonal teller. JustinSinders has been promoted to assistant vice president offinance. He joined the credit union's finance department in 2012.Terry Renick has been promoted to vice presidentof retail operations. He has been with IMCU for 26 years, mostrecently as vice president of branch operations. JoelTiede was promoted to vice president of operations after27 years with IMCU, most recently as vice president of branchoperations.

The $395 million Hawaii Community Federal CreditUnion in Kailua-Kona promoted Dean Uemurato EVP for support services and Mel Ventura to EVPof member services. Uemura has been with HCFCU for 29 years.Ventura has been with the credit union for 20 years.

The $86 million Cherokee Strip Credit Union inPonca City, Okla., hired Mike Smith as its vicepresident of finance/CFO. Smith had been CFO at OU Federal CreditUnion in Norman and an auditor for 12 years with the formerOklahoma Credit Union Association.

CUES in Madison, Wis., hired KathrynClancy as a director of member relations. She will serveas CUES' liaison to credit unions in Delaware, Maryland, NewJersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia andNew England. Clancy had been director of sales and clientrelations, leadership network, at Callahan & Associates inWashington.
