SAN FRANCISCO – Tuesday's agenda at America's Credit UnionConference included an optional tour to one of the city's mostpopular landmarks, the Ferry Building. The historic hub serves as ashowcase for some of the Bay Area's best artisans, and boasts afarmers market full of local, organic, produce along with carefullycrafted preserves, pickles and pastries.

The group of 51 spouses andguests was hosted by epicurean concierges, who providedbehind-the-scenes stories from the region's world renowned, forwardthinking food communities. The tour was split into foursubgroups, each with its own guide.

One group examined a posterdescribing the history of the ferry building, one of the few citystructures to survive the famous 1906 earthquake.

This group enjoyed a delectablechili from Prather Rach Meat Co. The vendor offered some cheekysouvenirs for sale.

These groups sampled bread fromthe famous Acme Bread Co. and cheese from Cowgirl Creamery.
