The Disclosures Release New Video
The Disclosures’ latest video from The Secret to Being Rich, a financial education album for children, could be the next hit of the summer.
Christopher Morris, director of communications at the National Credit Union Foundation and Chad Helminak, vice president of development at the Wisconsin Credit Union League, said he hopes at the very least it will help parents and teachers spark money conversations with kids.
The latest video, I Want, I Need, discusses the difference between wants and needs to help children better manage their money. According to Morris, once kids learn the difference, it’s a great foundation for budgeting, saving and spending.
The group’s first album in 2011 titled “(Hey, We’re) The Disclosures” was comprised of songs that focused on credit union history and philosophy. Since then, Morris said the duo decided to go in a new direction and teach children how to responsibly handle their finances through their signature mix of music and humor.
The Disclosures also released videos for two other songs from the children’s album: The Secret to Being Rich and Thank My Piggy Bank.
