Independent broker-dealer and registered investment advisoryfirm Commonwealth Financial Network has added UICCU WealthManagement to its network of independent financial advisers.

A division of the $2.1 billion University of Iowa Community Credit Union in North Liberty,Iowa, UICCU Wealth Management focuses on fee-based investmentmanagement services, comprehensive retirement, college savings, wealth transfer, life andlong-term care insurance planning and brokerage services.

The credit union's wealth management division has also pioneeredthe development of Participant Choice for TIAA-CREF participants inuniversity retirement plans, giving employees the opportunity tochoose independent advice for their retirement account investmentmanagement, according to Commonwealth, which has headquarters inWaltham, Mass., and San Diego.

Formerly affiliated with LPL Financial, Mark Law, managingdirector and chief investment officer at UICCU Wealth Management,along with his team of 14 advisers, manages more than $500 millionin total client assets.
