Northwest Credit Union Association, rooting for the SeattleSeahawks, has offered a friendly wager to the Mountain West Credit Union Association that is cheering for theDenver Broncos.

If the Broncos win Sunday, the NWCUA will send some of theworld's best smoked salmon to the MWCUA headquarters in Denver. Andthe Seattle Seahawks win, the MWCUA has agreed to send NWCUA inFederal Way, Wash., some of Colorado's finest Buffalo steaks.

The token offer was made Friday morning by Troy Stang, NWCUApresident/CEO and Debie Keesee, NWCUA board chair.

“How ironic that two states with legalized marijuana businessesfind themselves in the Super 'Bowl',” said Stang. “A joint wagerwas too good to pass up. In the unlikely event the Broncos winSunday, Debie and I are happy to send our counterparts the bestNorthwest smoked salmon they'll ever enjoy.”

“The stakes are high, but I make this wager with completeconfidence,” said Keesee. “I challenge Mountain West to top smokedsalmon. They can't, and their team can't beat the Seahawks.”

“Of course we are happy to accept the wager because we areconfident that we'll be the ones enjoying the Northwest Salmon,”said Scott Earl, president/CEO of the MWCUA. “In the unlikely eventthe Seahawks do win the Super Bowl, Bob Ramirez, our board chair, and I will send our counterparts some of Colorado's finest Buffalosteaks.”
