The $397 million Educational Community Credit Union inKalamazoo, Mich., has launched a responsive website, usingtechnology that allows the site to adjust itself to the devicebeing used to access it.

The 36,500-member Michigan credit union is the seventh creditunion to go live with a responsive site through Banno in CedarFalls, Iowa, the company said, and six more are in theimplementation process.

ECCU's new site replaces a website that was more than 10 yearsold and could not handle video or social media feeds or leverageanalytics, the credit union and company said.

The new site is now seeing a more-even spread of use amongdesktop, smartphone and tablet users and the Facebook traffic hasincreased sharply, the credit union said.

“Our new responsive design site and its associatedcapabilities have provided the evidence we suspected, that ourmembers were hungry for mobile options. As a result, ECCU isconfident in our direction of making strategic plans to furthersubstantiate our mobile presence,” Judi Burton, research anddevelopment analyst at ECCU, said in the Bannoannouncement.
