Jim Buchheim, who served as vicepresident of public relations and communications for 23 years atCUNA Mutual Group, has left the company to work for American FamilyInsurance.
Buchheim joined the Madison, Wis.-based CUNA Mutual in 1990 asvice president of communications overseeing the media relationsdepartment for the company.
|He left CUNA Mutual in early September for a similar position atAmerican Family Insurance, which is also based in Madison, Wis.,Rick Uhlmann, senior manager of media relations at CUNA Mutual,told Credit Union Times.
|According to Buchheim's LinkedIn profile, he is vicepresident-communications at American Family Insurance.
|It was not immediately known if a successor to Buchheim had beennamed.
|Buchheim's departure came two months before CUNA Mutualannounced on Nov. 8 that President/CEO Jeff Post will retire at the end of the year. Robert N. “Bob”Trunzo was named by the company's board of directors to succeedPost effective Jan. 1, 2014.
|Post, who served at the helm since 2005, said he would helpTrunzo and the company with the board and management transitionthrough July 2014.
|Trunzo previously served as president of CUNA Mutual Group Insurance and Financial Services.
