A group of members, employees and friends of the $890 millionMeritrust Credit Union in Wichita, Kan., gathered on a recentSaturday to assemble 20,000 meals for shipment to an orphanage inSouth Africa on behalf of the international hunger relieforganization Numana, and in recognition of International CreditUnion Day. ]

The teams measured, weighed, sealed, boxed and prepared forshipment the meals for the orphanage. Meals assembled consisted ofrice, soy protein, freeze-dried pinto beans and a blend of vitaminsand minerals targeted to help the immune system of malnourishedpeople.
