The National Credit Union Foundation said Tuesday that it has distributed more than $208,000 in grants to 248 credit union members hit by the September flooding in Colorado.

The need, however, continues the NCUF said and it is continuing to work with the Mountain West Credit Union Foundation to raise and distribute funds with the help of the CUAid.coop online disaster relief system.

"This flood has taken a huge toll on the lives of many and the relief provided is really making a difference for them. The need is still strong and scores of folks still need assistance. I would like to encourage our community to continue to donate so we can continue to provide much-needed relief," said Dan Santangelo, the foundation's executive director.
