America First Credit Union this week introduced a customizablecredit card concept called Picture Perfect Visa, which allowsmembers to personalize the photo on debit/credit cards and to sharethe pic on social media.

The $5.9 billion institution in Riverdale, Utah, now invitesinvites its 618,000 members to log in to online banking accountsand upload a digital photo taken with a smart phone.

Members also can share their customized images on Facebook,Twitter and Pinterest, the credit union said.

In order to offer the social media sharing aspect of thecustomized Picture Perfect Visa cards, the credit union partneredwith London-based technology vendor and digital card designerSeverside Group, the credit union said.

“We're very excited that we can now offer our members theability to create their own distinctive Visa credit and debitcards, and then share what they've created with their friendsthrough a variety of social media platforms,” said John B. Lund,president and CEO of America First. “It's just plain cool.”

Existing America First Visa cardholders can log onto theironline banking account and start customizing. Those who don't havea Visa card can call a toll-free number to apply.
