|Rep. C.W. “Bill” Young (R-Fla.) died Friday at Walter ReedNational Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., at age 82. Hisfuneral was scheduled Thursday in Largo, Fla.
|The financial institutions and consumer credit subcommitteemeeting of the House Financial Services Committee to discuss legislativeproposals to reform the Consumer Financial Protection Bureauoriginally set for Thursday has been rescheduled to 10 a.m. on Oct.29.
|The Financial Services Committee also had added a hearing onOct. 29 at 2 p.m. to discuss a taxpayer-funded bailout of theFederal Housing Administration.
|The House Small Business Committee meeting to discuss regulatoryburden and small business entities, scheduled for Thursday, alsohas been postponed, with no new date yet announced.
|Thursday's House Financial Services Committee hearing on capitalmarkets and the reduction of impediments to capital formation wasstill set for 2 p.m. as planned.
