The $272 million First New YorkFederal Credit Union has promoted Mark Jarocki to the position ofexecutive vice president/chief financial officer.

Jarocki had been senior vice president/CFO at First New York forthe past six years and has more than 25 years of financialexperience, the Albany credit union said in its announcement.

In September, the credit union named its senior vice presidentand chief operating officer, Lucy Halstead, to succeed retiring President/CEO Rachele Grankaat the 28,900-member First New York.

Jarocki will continue to manage and drive the financial strategyof the credit union as well as supervise its operations,accounting, lending, compliance and purchasing departments, hisemployer said in a statement.

First New York FCU was founded in 1937 as Schenectady TeachersFederal Credit Union, and said it now has seven full-servicebranches as well as five in-school branch offices, run by studentvolunteers at Duanesburg, Albany, Schenectady, Mohonasen, andSchoharie high schools.
