The $1.3 billion Elevations Credit Union Foundation in Boulder, Colo., haslaunched a fundraising initiative to raise $100,000 to help victimsof the Colorado flood disaster.

Each dollar collected by the Elevations Foundation will bematched up to $100,000 by Elevations Credit Union through September30.

All funds collected will be earmarked for temporary housing forthose individuals and families displaced by the floods.

“This disaster has had a devastating effect on so manyfamilies,” said Dennis Paul, assistant vice president of Businessand Community Development at Elevations CU. “Elevations will workwith local agencies including Foothills United Way, Boulder CountyCommunity Services, and the United Way of Larimer County to ensurethe funds get to the victims.”

Donations are being accepted at the credit union's website or atany Elevations CU branch location.

Additionally, donations can be made by phone at 303.443.4672 or800.429.7626.

Elevations has also set up a special flood response team toassist its membership that have been affected by the flooding. Theresponse team is ready to help members with financial issues theymay have as a result of the flood. The team will also assist with aloan or other financial needs that may have resulted from thisemergency.
