Thirty-six children with life-threatening medical conditions areheading to Orlando, Fla., Friday for a week-long vacation and theAmerican Airlines Federal Credit Union will be there to cheer themon towards their fun-filled getaway.

The Something mAAgic Foundation and American Airlines haveteamed up to provide the children and their families with themAAgic flight to Kissimmee, Fla., to lodge at the Give Kids TheWorld Village, a 70-acre storybook resort that neighborspopular Orlando attractions.

During their stay at, the families will enjoy accommodations intheir own villa and meals onsite at the Gingerbread HouseRestaurant and Katie's Kitchen. The village includes a number ofentertainment options for the children, including awheelchair-accessible splash park, an ice cream palace, a wishingwell that burps, a dinosaur miniature golf course, and the world'slargest and only life-sized version of the children's game CandyLand.

The annual event is sponsored by the Something mAAgicFoundation,with travel for children and their families provided by theAmerican Airlines Kids In Needprogram. To date, more than 400children have participated in the event.

Thirty-one airports throughout the American Airlines andAmerican Eagle network will celebrate the children departing fromtheir home cities.

Something mAAgicvolunteers made up of American Airlines,American Eagle and the $5.7 billion American Airlines Federal Credit Union in Fort Worth, Texas,employees will work together to create themed send-off celebrationsfor the families at the participating airports, customized tofeature each child's favorite things.

“The bravery of the participating families and the selflesscommitment of our people and the volunteers who make this eventpossible are humbling,” said Jon Snook, American's senior vicepresident of customer service. “I'm both proud and grateful thatAmerican is once again a part of mAAgic flight.

Last year, more than 900 employees from around the world gavetheir time to support mAAgicflight. This year, the foundation saidit is sponsoring children from the United States, Argentina,Brazil, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Spain and Trinidad.
