Friday, Sept. 13, will be remembered as an unlucky day for somecredit unions in Boulder, Colo., where nearly a foot of rainhas fallen since Wednesday.

While the flood emergency continues, the $445 million PremierMembers FCU said it opened branches in Boulder, North Longmont andFirestone at 10 a.m. (MDT), though its branches in South Longmontand in an IBM manufacturing plant remained closed Friday, accordingto a notice posted on its web site.

However, the $1.3 billion Elevations Credit Union's 10 branchesand phone contact center were closed today, that credit union'swebsite said. Its branches are located in Boulder, Westminster,Lafayette, Longmont and Loveland.

“We are working toward a normal opening on Saturday,” Elevationsstated on its Facebook page, where atleast one member got help, in this case making a transfer from abusiness to a personal account.

Both credit unions reminded members that online banking, mobilebanking, ATMs and some shared branches are available.

The Boulder Municipal Employees Credit Union also stayed closedFriday, according to its site.

The $300 million Boulder Valley CU said its branches in Arapahoeand Louisville re-opened Friday at 10 a.m. MDT, according to a poston its Facebook site.

The credit union said its branch in Estes Park stayed closedFriday.

The Weather Channel has reported the rain has subsided but theflood waters continue to rise.

The historic rainfall in northern Colorado has led to massive flash floods killing at least threepeople, damaging or destroying dozens of homes and cars, andclosing hundreds of roads, schools and businesses.
