The $825 million St. Anne's Credit Union in Fall River, Mass., recently participated in the annual "Get Steppin' for Steppingstone Walk" and raised nearly $400 for the Steppingstone emergency shelter and homeless program there.
|The agency has served southeastern Massachusetts since 1972 and said the demand, driven by unemployment and high housing costs, has contributed to an overflow of homeless guests at its shelter.
