Student lending firm CU Campus Resources said it reached amilestone in August when it surpassed the $100 million mark inprivate loans funded.

The Madison, Wis., company provides private education loanproducts and services that participating credit unions can makeavailable to their members.

Mike Long, president/chief operating officer of CU Campus Resources, said the latest trend is private student loan consolidation.

“Credit union members can combine all their private loans intoone affordable, monthly payment,” Long said. “This provides atremendous opportunity for credit unions everywhere to meet theirmembers' needs and add high quality loans to their balancesheet.”

Founded in 2010 as a subsidiary of the $1.7 billion UW Credit Union in Madison, Wis., CU Campus Resources said itscredit union clients have more than $21 billion in assets and servemore than 1.5 million members.
