The $14.8 million Fortress Federal Credit Union in Marion, Ind.,has completed its conversion to the Sharetec core processingplatform from Bradford-Scott Data Corp. in Indianapolis, thecompany and credit union said.

The credit union announced a year ago it was making the switch. The 2,200-memberFortress FCU had been a Fiserv Portico customer, according toCallahan & Associates data.

“All conversions are difficult but everything went great,” saidFortress FCU President Lisa Blades. “We wanted to move to asolution that would allow us to reduce expenses while alsoimproving our operations.”

She said she expected the new system to save her credit union 90minutes a day of manual work.

Bradford-Scott is one of four regional owner-distributors of theSharetec platform now in place at about 290 credit unions, the company said.
