The $3.5 billion Redstone FederalCredit Union in Huntsville, Ala., has promoted Terri Bentley tovice president of technology.

Bentley joined the RFCU as assistant vice president in 1999 andis credited with a series of technology advances at the363,000-member credit union, including a core processingconversion, mobile banking launch and a software developmentdepartment that has taken the lead in producing its own solutionsand marketing some of them to other credit unions.

Research consultancy Celent named RFCU a Model Bank in 2012.

“During her tenure, we have been able to take our technologydepartment from a cost center to a revenue generating area. We arechanging the industry within which we work, by building solutionsfor Redstone and then selling them to others. It is for thesereasons we are excited to promote her to this new role,” HarryGunsallus, the big Tennessee Valley credit union's executive vicepresident and chief information officer, said in the credit union'sannouncement.
