The $763 million TexasTrust Credit Union in Mansfield will open a full-service branchin DeSoto High School that will employ high school students whowill receive on-the-job training and experience in serving members,processing financial transactions and managing the branch.

The branch opening is part of the credit union's partnership –Texas Trust Spirit in Action – with the DeSoto Independent SchoolDistrict that will provide financial services and education toemployees, students and their families. In addition to thein-school branch, the school district will receive financialrewards, financial materials for classroom training and financialeducational programs for parents and faculty.

Texas Trust CU also will offer a specially designed DeSotoEagle-branded Spirit Debit Reward card. The school district willreceive 15 cents each time a cardholder uses the card to make apurchase.

Since 2011, Texas Trust has donated more than $317,000 to participatingschool districts from more than the 2.1 million purchases made withthe Spirit Debit Reward Card, the credit union said.
