Affinity Federal Credit Union inBasking Ridge, N.J., said this week that Lauretta Farrell has beenhired as its new assistant vice president of external affairs andexecutive director of the $2.3 billion credit union's charitablefoundation.

Farrell had been director of marketing and associate vicepresident for strategic advancement for the past seven years atCentenary College in Hackettstown, N.J., and prior to that wasdirector of development for New Jersey SEEDS, a nonprofitorganization that prepares high-achieving, low-income students foradmission to private schools and colleges across thecountry.

“Lauretta brings significant expertise to her new role,” saidAffinity President/CEO John Fenton. “Our foundation andcommunity outreach efforts are a significant part of our mission,and we look forward to her contributions.”

She replaces the retired Beth Degnan as executive director ofthe foundation, Affinity said.
