The $26 billion State Employees' Credit Union in Raleigh, N.C., and the $11million Greater Kinston Credit Union in Kintson, N.C., have signedan agreement that will manage Kinston CU's IT operating systems andservices.

SECU will provide full IT back-office support that is expectedto help GKCU minimize operational expenses and invest in growthopportunities. SECU's IT systems are expected to provide theplatform for GKCU to offer member products and service with greaterconvenience and accessibility, according to a joint statementreleased by the credit unions.

SECU provides similar operational services to the $128 millionLatino Community Credit Union in Durham, N.C.

“With (SECU's) assistance and support, GKCU will be able tofocus more on servicing membership, community outreach andexpanding awareness to the surrounding communities within our fieldof membership,” said Shawn Wilson, manager/CEO of GKCU.
