Members of the $48 million HealthNet FCU in Cordova, Tenn.,don't need to feel down in the dumps about their auto loan. That'sthe message William Whitten, president/CEO of the 6,600-membercredit union, wanted to get across by using the gates of the trasharea members see every time they go through the HealthNetdrive-through.

“At HealthNet FCU, no open space is taken for granted! We liketo call this, 'Dumpster Marketing,'” said Christina Bolles, thecredit union's marketing coordinator. “For those of you that have astandalone branch, why are you not using such a valuable space?Your members drive past every time they visit the drive through.Shouldn't they see something that will actually get their attentionand benefit them? Eventually, it will sink in.”
