Loans refinanced under the Home Affordable Refinance Program continue to dominate the waveof housing refinancing, federal figures show.

According to the Federal Home Finance Agency,there have been more than 2.5 million housing finance loansrefinanced under the HARP program since 2009, with 106,910 loansrefinanced under HARP in April 2013 alone.

This compares with just over 53,000 loans financed under HARP inApril 2012, according to the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac regulator,and mirrors a similar jump in refinances generally.

According to FHFA data, 267,606 mortgages total were refinancedin April 2012 compared with 463,591 refinanced in April 2013.
