There have been some close shaves at Gillette Stadium, and maybe none closer than Liberty Bay Credit Union staffer John Krupcheck got earlier this month.

Krupcheck, a veteran IT employee at the $626 million Liberty Bay in Braintree, Mass., agreed to have his head shaved for the annual 2013 Buzz Off for Kids' Cancer event, held at the New England Patriots' home field to support Boston Children's Hospital.

This year was Liberty Bay's second in the Buzz Off and donations have totaled $12,500, including the $2,500 raised at the hair-razing, along with in-branch efforts.
