The PCU Community Foundation, the charitable arm of the $559million Postal Credit Union in Woodbury, Minn., joined in as nearly700 participants gathered for the Minnesota Musella Foundation 5KWalk/Run on May 11 at Lake Phalen in St. Paul, Minn. That was a 24%jump from last year's effort for the brain tumor research andinformation organization and the third year the PCU CommunityFoundation has participated.

A highlight in this year's walk was the spirit boost during theevent from the White Bear Lake High School cheerleading squad.Local radio personality Susie Jones was also on hand to greet theparticipants and share memories of her long-time on-air partnerEleanor Mondale, who died from brain cancer in 2011.

“It's great to see this event grow from year to year,” commentedBrian Sherrick, PCU president/CEO and PCU Community Foundationchairman. “Many of us have been touched by this disease, or knowsomeone who has, and the opportunity to raise much needed funds toone day eradicate this illness is a cause we all share.
