The $1.8 billion California Coast Credit Union in San Diegoplans to help meet FFIEC and NCUA compliance rules by deploying anew network access control solution from StillSecure of Superior,Colo.

The Colorado company's Safe Access solution will be used toautomate the process of monitoring access to the 121,000-membercredit union's IT infrastructure, the company and credit unionsaid, helping to ensure compliance with network safety regulationsand improve IT efficiency while identifying potential securityweaknesses and threats.

“We have not only decreased our IT costs but increased thecompany's overall IT efficiency by fully automating our networkmonitoring process. Today, monitoring can be done by one person,which frees the rest of our IT department up to work on futureprojects,” said Jonathan Danucalov, network engineer at California Coast.

StillSecure declined to say how many credit unions it serves.The company said its client list includes numerous commercialcustomers and the Department of Defense.
