Employees of Oklahoma credit unions and the Credit UnionAssociation of Oklahoma lost property and had family membersaffected by the enormous tornado which tore through Moore, Okla.,on Monday afternoon.

Jones said that, at this point, it appears that only one creditunion in the state, Tinker FCU, sustained property damage to itsbranch in Moore, but he added that the association had been told ofcredit unions' employees who have had property damage and hadfamily members, including children, which were affected by thetornado.

He did not elaborate.

Currently both the CUAO and the National Credit Union Foundation are assessingdamage and expect to make decisions on how to coordinate assistancelater Tuesday, according to Jones and NCUF spokesman ChristopherMorris.
