Shane Berger, CEO of the $179 million Beehive Federal CreditUnion in Rexburg, Idaho, has been named chair of the Idaho CreditUnion League's board of directors.

He was elected at the league's recent annual meeting andsucceeds Brent Neibaur, CEO of the $111 million Advantage Plus FCUin Pocatello, whose term expired May 10.

Berger has been CEO at Beehive FCU for 28 years and is a BrighamYoung University graduate and former recipient of the league'sProfessional of the Year award, the league said.

He also has served on the board of League Services Inc., theleague's subsidiary, and on the Member Advocacy Subcommittee,Governmental Affairs Committee, and League Finance Committee. Healso serves the credit union community at the national andinternational level serving on the World Leadership DevelopmentCommittee and on Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union's Advisory Council.
