Keith Wiemert has been named interim president/CEO of the CreditUnion League of Connecticut.

Wiemert, president/CEO of the $157 million Seasons FCU inMiddletown, is the current chair of the league's board ofdirectors, a position he assumed just last month.

The board said Wednesday it also has appointed a searchcommittee to seek a permanent replacement for Tony Emerson, who has taken the top job at the $465 million ICFCU in Fitchburg, Mass., after five years at the CULC.

“League staff is a group of seasoned professionals capable ofworking with little daily supervision,” Wiemert said. “I lookforward to working with them and with our credit unions during thistransition period.”
