Fourth-graders from Skyview Elementary School in Oakdale, Minn.,got to be “Bankers for a Day” recently at the Woodbury, Minn.,office of the $559 million Postal Credit Union. Their visitincluded learning about the teller line, member service, loans andthe contact center. They also had the chance to interview foremployment and learned how member-owned credit unions differ fromother financial service providers.

“The students ask great questions and are interested in how weoperate. They really like going behind the teller line and workingin the drive-through. It's a big hit with the students every year,”said Woodbury Branch Manager Liz Fleischhacker.

The visits have been going on for six years. PCU staff alsovisit the school several times during the school year to talk tostudents about financial literacy topics such as budgeting andmoney management.
