CUNA Mutual Group announced Friday that Local 39 of the Office& Professional Employees International Union has ratified athree-year contract with the Madison, Wis., company.

Salary increases, bigger performance bonuses, modifications tohealth insurance and to the current defined benefit plan were inthe package for approximately 700 employees of the credit unioninsurance and investments firm.

“Union leadership and the company worked hard in the past twomonths to reach agreement on a contract that reflected both sides'most important issues,” he said.

“Reaching an agreement of this sort during these economic timeswas difficult, but working together was key and both teams weredetermined to achieve results” said Debra Eveland, businessrepresentative for OPEIU Local 39. “The union looks forward tocontinuing a working relationship with the company.”
