The $308 million CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union inAlexandria, Va., is now offering mobile check depositing to its34,900 members.

CommonWealth One is using technology from Intuit FinancialServices to offer the mobile remote deposit checking service toAndroid and iPhone users, and said its check volume from thatchannel doubled in the first two weeks that it was added to itsexisting online scanner RDC service.

Members were used to test the functionality before its launch.The launch of the Mobile MyDeposit service was announced onFacebook after teaser announcements were made in the credit union'squarterly newsletter and in a videomessage to members by President/CEO Charlotte Cash.

“Our members have requested it and we are pleased to offer it aspart of our commitment to their financial well-being as theirlifetime financial partner,” Cash said. “Whether our members arebusy professionals, on-the-go parents, or full time students at ourJames Madison University branch, they can now save time with theconvenience of Mobile MyDeposit.”
