The $1.7 billion University of Wisconsin Credit Union said itwill soon offer mobile check deposit to its 177,400 members.

The remote deposit checking solution was developed in-houseusing Ensenta image processing and fraud detection tools and will bepaired with the Madison credit union's homegrown mobile bankingofferings, UWCU said.

The launch is expected later this spring, the credit union said.“It lets members take control of when and where they want to dotheir banking. It also gives additional accessibility to ourmembership that lives outside of Wisconsin,” said UWCUPresident/CEO Paul Kundert.

UWCU said it now employs 432 people at 21 locations in theMadison, Milwaukee, Stevens Point, Green Bay, Oshkosh andWhitewater.
