Kim Santos has been named director of the Office of CreditUnions at the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions.

Santos has been with the OCU for the past 20 years, mostrecently as deputy director. She succeeds Ginger Larson, who is retiring in June after serving for 17years at the credit union office, nine of them as the officedirector.

“Kim will make an outstanding director of the Office ofCredit Unions. Her two decades of experience in a variety of roleswill serve the office well,” said DFI Secretary Peter Bildsten.

“We appreciate everything Ginger has accomplished in her timewith the Office of Credit Unions and wish her nothing but the bestin retirement,” Bildsten said in Monday's announcement.

Brett Thompson, president/CEO of the Wisconsin Credit UnionLeague, said Monday, “Ginger Larson was well respected throughoutthe credit union movement in Wisconsin and will be missed. We wishher well in retirement.
