Carter has led the Maple Grove, Minn.-based credit union since1999 and helped it grow to more than $330 million in assets.

Active in the credit union industry for some 22 years he hasserved as chair of the Minnesota Credit Union Network Board ofDirectors, and in his local community, as chair of the NorthHennepin Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and otherboards and organizations.

Executive Vice President/COO Tom Smith, who has more than 21years in the financial services industry, has been tapped tosucceed Carter in 2014. Smith joined the credit union in 2008.
